ExaHyPE is an open source engine to solve hyperbolic partial differential equations in first order formulation on dynamically adaptive spacetree grids.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 671698 (ExaHyPE).

Science

ExaHyPE had originally been written under the umbrella of the ExaHyPE H2020 project (No 671698).

ExaHyPE today is used as flagship code within the Center of Excellence in the domain of Solid Earth (Cheese) project.

ExaHyPE is the starting point/code blueprint of the EPSRC project ExaClaw.

A second version of the engine is currently under development. It is part of the Peano rewrite (fourth generation of the Peano PDE framework).
